Back went out

My back recently started to hurt last week.  As much as I want to believe that this marathon is going to happen, I am starting to have my doubts.

I want to confirm to everyone who has already donated money that these funds are starting to get exclusively trasnferred to the Albuquerque Friends of the Library.  Even if you donated money, all the donations will still go to the Albuquerque Public Library.

While I will be in recovery for the next few weeks, please have your thoughts and prayers with me as I try to finish this goal.  It would be wonderful to be able to accomplish this.  Thank you for all the support from those who visit this website.

  1. Don't give up because you got injured. Make sure you're still moving your back. Hit a few light, restorative yoga classes and try some low, no impact cardio to keep you body in shape.

    Hang in there, in the big scheme of things two weeks off won't hurt ya. ;)

  2. I don't think I've run a marathon where I haven't been injured or hurt in some fashion, so I never let a current problem distract me from a future run. Everything always seems to work out. Find out my your back is giving you trouble and stop doing that! For me, it was all about finding the right pair of shoes, even if the geeks at the running shop recommended something else. You can get a lot of recovery in 44 days. Good luck!
